Work Party Again on Sunday
Thanks to all who turned out over the past couple of days to help with the building of the track.
Next Sunday, 14th March, should have been our first race date, but our plans have been put back by the bad weather throughout January & February, and as a result, next Sunday is another work party.
More details will be posted here during the coming week.
Work party points for this season so far are shown here.

These are the hardy souls who braved the cold on Sunday to make a start on the track layout.
(+ Mick & Rosie who wandered off to watch the stock cars) |

We spent a lot of time carrying posts from where we had carried them to last time,
when we carried them from where we had carried them to when we brought them from Balado !!!
Confused? You soon will be! |

 |
|---|
...and we moved a lot of tyres around
|
|---|
 |
|---|
| ... and rolled them from one part of the field to another. |
|---|
 |
|---|
| ... and piled them up to make marshals posts. |
|---|
 |
|---|
| ... and I have no idea what they're doing here. |

Tossing the Caber |

And Norrie & Alan decided what Pizza to order on the way home.
So for all those members who didn't make it on Sunday, - you missed a fun day out.
But never fear, there will be Work Parties on most weekends from now until the start of the season. Watch this space for details. |

Club funds
The Committee would like to say a huge "Thank You" to all who have contributed to the club funds over the recent months. While the club isn't exactly awash with cash, we're well on our way to getting the new venue secured. Since it seemed to have served its purpose, the Totaliser has been removed, but anyone who would still like to make a contribution to the club funds can send it to;
Scott Pryde
4 Ross Crescent
Tranent
East Lothian
EH33 2BD
These contributions are to cover our start-up costs, and will be repaid once the club gets on its feet.
In the meantime, Rosie will continue with the fundraising activities, and Scott will continue to follow-up membership renewals, both of which will bring some very welcome income.
New members
It was good to meet some new members at the recent social night, and we look forward to seeing them out racing in the spring. We're confident that once the new season gets underway, Scott, our Membership Secretary, will be kept busy processing new members. Anyone interested in finding out more, click here.
