Gary Reid on top in July race meeting
Autograss racing got back on track on Sunday, as the return of summer weather allowed us to get racing again.
With some members being on holiday, numbers were a bit down, but those there had a good day's racing, and even experienced that very rare Scottish phenomenon - dust!
Gary Reid won the Champion of Champions race

A wee technical hitch meant that it wasn't possible to publish full results on the day, but they are available now at:

After our CS team went to Solway last weekend and came back with a haul of trophies, the Johnstone family came up from Solway to grab some of our Scottish Open trophies. Our congratulations to Lynn Johnstone who won the Scottish Ladies Open, and daughter Kirby who impressed me with a very mature and sensible drive to second place in the Scottish Junior Open as pandemonium ensued around her.

Class 1 saw Brian Allan and Blair Robertson equal on points after the heats, so they had a run-off to establish who would go to the Scottish Open, - which Brian won.

Mick Nairns had another new toy to play with - it sounded glorious, and had speed to match!

Norrie Henderson finished the day with one-wheel drive, after snapping a drive shaft.

Our congratulations to all award winners.
Solway meeting
An invasion of CS members headed for Solway on 8th May and raided their trophy cabinet.
All our members brought a trophy home, and we would like to congratulate each of them.

Autograss in Scotland
Despite Autograss' huge following in England, it is a relatively new sport in Scotland, but as Central Scotland Autograss Club enters its third season, it now has a solid core of members, with new cars and drivers coming on board for 2008.
